I love getting to know each of you, making your photography experience with me as fun and comfortable as can be. Most people feel awkward or uncomfortable in front of the camera, or worry that their children will not cooperate, (I know I do! ) I have found that patience while adapting to each family makes the experience smoother, stress free and enjoyable. I adore children & interacting with their unique personalities. My photography style is more lifestyle/candid where I can freeze a moment in time where you are sharing real emotions and memories with your loved ones. New challenges excite me and getting to meet and connect with new people is what makes this artistic industry so rewarding and fulfilling!
A little about me! I am the lucky wife to a kind and genuine man who supports and helps me make my ideas and visions come to life. Together we have made three adorable, wild, messy, sweet and incredible children. My passion for photography started with them and their simple innocence, vivid imaginations and never-ending vibrancy secures their place as my main inspiration. When I am not behind my camera, my little family is my everything, we like to spend most of our time at our little log cabin in the woods, exploring and having fun. In the summer time we spend a lot of time swimming and kayaking at a nearby gravel pit. We have started traveling more now the the kids are getting older and I have a feeling this will continue more and more. Most often though we like to keep our life sweet and simple at home with our little hobby farm.
My family and I live in Roseau, MN that borders the edge of Canada. Canada is where I originally grew up. Our little piece of country where we live is also where my photography studio is located. Allowing us to include indoor and outdoor sessions all in one location. I do most sessions around the Roseau county area, but will travel on occasion.
I specialize in studio newborn photography and have been trained in newborn safety, posing and soothing techniques, that ensures safety and comfort of baby is the number one priority.
Although I feel that posed, "everybody-smile-and-look-at-the camera!" portrait photography has it's place in this world, my style is focused around the connection shared between you and the people that take up the most space in your heart. I particularly have a soft spot for the deeply rooted bond between mothers and their children, and that relationship is one of my most favorite things to photograph.
If you're looking for a fun, relaxed, giggle filled, easy-like-Sunday-morning photo session, we should definitely chat.
