FAQ (session Info)

What is the best way to contact you?

Email or my business Facebook page, is definitely the best way to get in touch with me. Just click on the “contact” page. http://kaciejphotography.com/contact/ I try to espond to emails twice a day (Morning, and afternoon), and you will get a response to your questions ASAP. You are welcome to call or text me, however, please keep all calls between 9am-5pm on Monday-Fridays.  Evenings and weekends are reserved for my family, so I do not answer calls/texts outside of those hours – unless you are messaging me to tell me your baby is here! :)  For all other inquiries, email is always the quickest and easiest way to contact me with questions.

When should I book my session?

Family/Child sessions : I typically book 2-3 months out. However, contact me to see if I have your needed date available.

Newborns: Please book your newborn session before your baby is born. Newborn sessions are usually booked in the 2nd trimester. If your baby is already born, please contact me because I may have an opening available.  Newborns are best photographed between 5-14 days old to give us the best sleepy/curly poses.

Maternity sessions- Maternity sessions usually take place when you are about 34 weeks along so to book a session to it while you are in your second trimester!

Why don’t you schedule family portrait sessions on the Sundays?

Time with my family is extremely precious to me.  All sessions are scheduled during Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturdays. So I can give my time to my loved ones, my family time is my top priority. Thank you for understanding!

Do you travel for sessions?

I do travel for a family portrait session and Newborn Sessions, however, there is a travel fee of .75 per mile for distances over 30 miles from 56751. Please inquire for travel pricing if needed. Mini sessions are not available for travel.

Where is your studio located?

42197 CR 124 Roseau, MN 56751

I give detailed directions when you book your session to my studio or to the place we will be shooting at!

Do you have all the props for my newborn session?

I do! I have tons props such as buckets, bowls, wraps, headbands, hats etc. for your session. I try to make it to where you don’t have to bring anything but your baby and milk! I have all you will need for your session, unless you would like to bring in something special.

How does scheduling a newborn session work?

I will put your due date on my calendar. Once your baby is born, I ask that you email/text/call me as soon as possible to let me know your baby is here. ( It is important to to contact me as soon as possible to ensure you get the earliest session available when baby arrives) Then we will book your exact session date that falls between 5-14 days old. If you wait to contact me, you may have to wait for a later session date.

Can we bring grandparents, aunts/uncles /cousins to the session?

For Newborn Sessions:  My studio is  small, and due to the limited space and warmth in the studio (80 degrees for baby’s comfort) I ask that you limit additional guests at the session.

For Family Sessions: For larger groups with extended family members (such as grandparents)  please ask for a quote.

May we take pictures at our session?

Absolutely no videos or professional DSLR’s are permitted during any session. However, I do not mind phone snapshots during your newborn session to document this special time!

Can we copy poses and photos I saw on Pinterest?

I enjoy parents input, but please keep in mind that the photos you see on my website or Facebook are a representation of my particular work style, and most of your session will tend to reflect that soft organic look. I will be happy to incorporate any props you bring, but ask that you keep them to a minimum, and limit them to sentimental items. However, there are some poses I do not feel are safe for your baby, and those poses I will not do. Your baby’s safety and comfort are my number one priority.
